Jose Mourinho said he “does not want to talk” about his midfielder, Eriksen’s future after he drew 2-2 at Norwich.

Eriksen has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent months. The midfielder scored a free-kick on his first Premier League start under Mourinho against Norwich City.

The 27-year-old showed a glimpse of his Spurs glory days with a patented free-kick to level the score at 1-1 early in the first half.

It was the Danish international’s second Premier League goal of the season. Eriksen had spent the majority of the campaign either on the bench or outside of the 18 due to a contract dispute.

Who knows what the future has in store for Eriksen and how long he will stay at Tottenham?

Manager, Mourinho is, however, coy on the Tottenham’s midfielder future. He said, “We are so open with one another. We keep it to ourselves. I share it with my boss but it’s just between us.”

The Danish midfielder has made 298 appearances for the club. But he was limited to just six substitute league appearances under Mourinho before Saturday’s trip to Carrow Road.

He was influential as his side salvaged a point and Mourinho said Eriksen was “happy with his man-of-the-match” performance.

Eriksen, 27, could leave Tottenham on a free transfer next summer if he does not agree on an extension to his current deal which expires at the end of the season.

When asked of the player’s future, Mourinho said, “I know, I know, or at least I think I know because Christian has always been very clear with me. I will not be the one to say though.”

Mourinho added, “the only thing I can say is he is trying to help the team.”
