Juande has backed Gareth Bale
Juande Ramos worked very briefly with Gareth Bale at Tottenham. The Spanish coach defended the Wales international, suggesting that he gave Real Madrid a lot during his time in the Spanish capital. Bale left Los Blancos to return to Tottenham with very little fanfare and tribute from the Spanish giants, despite having played a hand in four Champions League triumphs. “Gareth is a player that I like, I think he gave Real Madrid a lot too,” Ramos explained in an interview. “He has tremendous strength and a magical left leg. He is a handy footballer and one of the few with world-class talent. Inside Madrid, they will know the problems he might have with Zidane. But I’m sure he has his side of the story.”
Real Madrid also allowed Sergio Reguilon to fly for Tottenham in the same week, with the club opting to continue the rotation between Ferland Mendy and Marcelo. “While this is a very populated position with Mendy and Marcelo, and if they decided to let Sergio go, it’s because they got a good amount of money for him,” he added. “Reguilon had less chance of minutes with Real Madrid than the other two, and I think he adapts well to Spurs. “He is a player with great potential.” Ramos coached Sergio Ramos at Sevilla and was quick to point out how important a defender will play in Real Madrid’s 2020/21 campaign.” He has a lot of experience; having this type of player serving gives the coach the feeling of security.”
