You may know that Juventus and Fiorentina were chasing the Serie A trophy, and today’s clash was crucial for both of the clubs. First of all, Bianconeri looked forward to recovering after their 2-1 failure against Napoli. So, Juventus achieved an impressive victory.

Noteworthy that the Old Lady has lost only two games from their last 22 in the current season. On the other hand, Fiorentina are in the bottom half of the standings.

The First Half

Juve players started the game by exchanging short passes with each other. They held ball possession and were waiting for an appropriate moment to beat Fiorentina’s defense. But after several attempts, they only earned and wasted two consecutive corners at 12th and 15th minutes.

At the 22nd minute, Federico Chiesa met a cross inside the penalty area and unloaded an impressive attempt, but Juve’s goalkeeper was ready to deny Fiorentina’s striker with a fantastic save. The ball went out, and Fiorentina gained another corner kick. But Szczesny saved the net again.

The first half seemed to be a bit boring, in total. Juventus kept possessing and passing the ball from player to player, but they could create no impressive moments until the referee interrupted the game at 39th minute. After reviewing VAR, he awarded Juventus a penalty.

Cristiano Ronaldo, of course, scored a beautiful goal at the 40th minute. He skillfully put the ball into the bottom left corner past the goalkeeper’s outstretched arm. Noteworthy, that this was his ninth consecutive match in which he scored the goal.

The first half finished with 1-0 after Juventus showing excellent team chemistry.

The Second Half

The second half started at the same pace, and Juventus pinged the ball around in order to create a new opportunity to attack.

At 49th minute Juventus earned a corner kick, but Sarri’s men could not manage to convert it into the goal. Neither Fiorentina could net the goal after kicking the corner.

Juventus had four more corners in the second half, but they could not beat the defenders of the Purples.
Only once, at the 72nd minute, there was a need for Dragowski to save the net, and he made it brilliantly.

At 77th minute the referee blew his whistle after a mess inside the box, and after reviewing a VAR, he awarded Juve a penalty. It was another chance for Ronaldo to double his goals in this clash, and at the 80th minute, he sent an unstoppable penalty past Dragowski into the bottom left corner of the net. That was his 14th goal in the ninth consecutive matches for him to score.

Everyone thought that the match was over, but at the first additional minute, Dybala kicked the corner and De Ligt sent it to the bottom left corner with his head. As a result, the match ended with a 3-0 victory for Juventus.
