Joao Santos, who is Jorginho agent insists the obligation is on Juventus to make the first move if they are interested in signing his client
Jorginho joined Chelsea during Maurizio Sarri’s tenure as Chelsea’s manager. The pair had before worked together at their previous club Napoli.
The Blues midfielder is considered essential by Sarri in order to operate his preferred “Sarriball” system. Something he has failed to entirely do during his first year with the Bianconeri.
One of the Juventus fans had commented, “Sarri needs a player like Jorginho to play his game. We’ll see. I know that Sarri has just arrived there. He will decide with Paratici. I imagine they are talking about the Mercato. Paratici would not call me without going to Chelsea first”.
The Italian’s future under Frank Lampard was in doubt at first in London when Sarri left. However, he has since forced his way into the young manager’s plans.
Nonetheless, talks from his agent Joao about interested parties have only served to place doubt on the player’s future once again.
While Joao insists his client is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge, he has now invited any interested parties to contact Chelsea.
Speaking to Tuttojuve.com, the agent admits while it’s just speculation right now, any offer would be considered.
He said, “ I only hear about these rumors from the newspapers. Because nobody from Juventus has contacted me.”
“Maurizio Sarri appreciated him very much as a person and a player. They worked very well together but that’s all there is to it right now”.
“The player is focused only on Chelsea. He has resumed training and is preparing for the Premier League restart. If it should happen a proposal from Juve, I say that anyone who wants Jorginho has to talk to Chelsea.”
“Then we will evaluate together what to do. That would not be a problem”.
Juventus will no doubt bring in some new faces this summer. It remains to be seen if one of those will be Jorginho’s
