The interest of the grandees towards Kai Havertz is great. According to Rudi Voller, the sporting director of Leverkusen, the player can not be forced to stay at the club.

Kai Havertz is one of the most distinguished and talented young players. The 21-year-old plays at a fairly high level. So, he is one of Leverkusen’s main and key figures.

The German player has a contract with Leverkusen until the summer of 2022, but there is a high probability that no one will leave the midfielder in Bayer for so long, and he will be taken away by any grandee.

The name of Kai Havertz is mostly associated with Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich. These teams want to buy Havertz this summer, but there is an option to keep the young German in Leverkusen for another year and then replace the team.

Leverkusen finished the 2019/20 Bundesliga season in fifth place with 63 points, which means that the German club will not be able to play in the Champions League next season. Due to this fact, the information about the alleged transfer to another team of Havertz became more frequent.

Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller also said the club and the player had an agreement that would allow Kai Havertz to leave the team this summer if he wished.

“We have an agreement under which he (Havertz) can leave this summer. Now he is our player. We know what he can do. I hope he stays for another year, but of course, we can’t force anyone to do that. Havertz knows his commitments to colleagues, fans, and the club, “Rudi told the German Bild.

Kai Havertz made 30 appearances in the 2019/20 Bundesliga season, scoring 12 goals and assisting six.
