Jurgen Klopp has made known his plan to take a year’s sabbatical once his Liverpool contract expires in 2024. However, he says he may quit management altogether after his time in Anfield.
Klopp managerial stock is at an all-time high after he guided Liverpool to the Champions League glory last season followed by their first top-flight in 30 years.
Despite constructing a juggernaut outfit on Merseyside, the 53-year-old says he will remain for a further four years before stepping away from the spot entirely for 12 months.
However, Germany, who was named Premier League and LMA Manager of the season hints he may completely stay away from management. That is if he doesn’t get the itch to return during his break.
“I’ll take a year off and ask myself if I miss football. If I say no, then that will be the end of coach Jurgen Klopp”. Spoke to the manager about his future.
“If one day I am no longer a coach, there is one thing I will not miss. The Brutal tension immediately before the game”.
With all his long-term plans placed on hold, Klopp is firmly focused on the upcoming season with Liverpool. Even though romped to the Premier League title, the popular German is demanding more from his side.
“The whole club is hot for the new season. we want to be even better. We want to chase the opponents and the ball over the entire field, continue to be a super unpleasant team that is not fun to play. We’re not defending any titles. We want to get new ones. We’ve only just started winning”. Concluded Klopp.
