Jurgen Klopp is achieving great success with Liverpool. But the German is already thinking about the end of the English adventure.
Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp already has concrete ideas about when his English adventure should end and how his career should continue after Liverpool.
The 53-year-old German specialist, in whose hands Merseyside won the Champions League last year and the Premier League this year, said in an interview with SWR Sport that sooner or later, he will return home: “I will return 100 percent after my career, but most likely before that. Well, there’s a good chance I’ll be back in my hometown because it’s my hometown, “said Jurgen Klopp, who was a first-team player from 1990 to 2008 and then coached the team.
Klopp has stated that he plans to work as Liverpool’s manager for another four years. Exactly four years are left on his contract. “If we break up after that, which is real because it will be my nine years in Liverpool, I will probably rest for a year.” He added.
There is talk in Germany that the German team should be taken over by Klopp after Joachim Low. Jurgen himself does not speak openly on the subject: “No one knows what will happen in five years. Maybe I will work in a club again, or in a team, or nowhere. In 5 years, a lot can change, and the world can be completely different. ”
Klopp said in the fall of 2019 that he is not thinking about the German team yet. But if this issue ever comes up on the agenda, he will certainly think about it. Recall that the coach of the Bundesliga Joachim Low has a contract with the German Football Association until the summer of 2022.
