Manchester United will face Paris St-Germain in the Champions League and Kylian Mbappe has praised Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

The PSG star, Kylian Mbappe has praised Marcus Rashford for his impact on and off the pitch while predicting another “big season” for Anthony Martial ahead of the Tuesday night meeting.

After a year out of Europe’s top competition, United return to the Champions League action against PSG for their opening match in Group H.

The last time the two sides met United dumped the Parisians out of the last-16 stage as they mounted a memorable comeback in Paris after losing the first leg at Old Trafford 2-0.

Rashford is the player who won it with the last kick of the game from the penalty spot and Mbappe said being able to score a spot-kick under such pressure proves how talented the striker is. Additionally, he revealed how international teammate Paul Pogba has previously spoken about how “special” a player Rashford is.

“When you take a penalty in that situation, how much practice you have put on the training ground doesn’t matter”. Said Mbappe.

“It’s about confidence and he’s a player who plays with so much confidence. He’s one of the most dangerous forward players in England. Paul Pogba has spoken about how special he is. And he doesn’t talk about players in such a way often”.

Rashford has been making waves outside of the game in recent months with selfless charity work in helping to feed underprivileged children which have earned him an MBE. Mbappe, who also has a charity which helps children in France, has praised Rashford for his work.

“To tackle an issue as important as child poverty is one of the most important things that somebody can do”. Added Mbappe.

“So, I have full respect that he’s been doing that and trying to make a real change. I do think there is a requirement for players to use their position to make a difference in the world. We’ve been given so much and it’s important that we give back”.

Mbappe also had kind words for his international teammate Martial and has predicted that the striker will enjoy another great season with United.

“He’s a player I have a great understanding with. Playing with somebody as talented as Anthony makes your job easier”.

“I’m sure he’ll have another big season with Manchester United and I look forward to playing with him for the national team again. He’s very good friend but also a player that I connect very well with”.
