According to ‘The Sun’, Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard plans to make serious changes in the club. The English specialist intends to renew the squad. So, there is a chance to send eight players from the club in the summer.

According to the British edition, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Jorginho, Ross Barkley, Marco Alonso, Emerson Palmeiri, Kurt Zouma, Willian, and Pedro may have to leave Stamford Bridge.

Lampard wants to succeed both internationally and domestically. But it is well remembered that the resources at his disposal are not enough to achieve the desired result.

According to ‘The Sun’, Frank Lampard has already spoken to Chelsea bosses about the issue and has informed them that at least four transfers will be needed in the summer.

It is noteworthy that Lampard will make the final decision on the future of Zuma, Willian, and Pedro at the end of the season. The others will most likely continue their careers in other teams.

Chelsea target Mertens

The ‘Daily Mail’ reports that London’s Chelsea have contacted Napoli and asked for the information about Dries Mertens. Frank Lampard, head of the aristocrats, is focused on boosting the offensive. Accordingly, he is considering some candidates, including 32-year-old Belgian forward.

Controversial information about Mertens’s future plans is circulating in the foreign press. Several Italian publications say the player wants to stay at Napoli and break the club’s records. On the other hand, the ‘Foggy Albion’ reports that Chelsea are hopeful, and at Stamford Bridge, they believe Mertens will sign for just £ 6million.

The Belgian striker has played 22 matches for Napoli in the current season. In those matches Mertens managed to make three successful assists as well as  nine goals.
