French League 1 has published a calendar for the new season. So, the first round of the 2020/21 season of the French Championship will take place on August 22-23.

 

The leadership of the French Ligue 1 has already approved the calendar for the new 2020/21 season.

The matches of the first round of the new season are scheduled for August 22-23. The reigning champions, Paris Saint-Germain, will play their first match at home and host Metz at Stade de France. On the other hand, Vice-champion, Marseille Olympics will meet St. Etienne at “Velodrome.”

Recall that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the 2019/20 season has been declared prematurely over. According to the results shown at that time, PSG was named the champion. Marseille will compete with the Parisian club in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League next season. And, Rennes will start the tournament from the qualification stage.

As you may know, Lille received a trip to the Europa League while Amiens and Toulouse have been relegated to League 2. Lance and Lorient were promoted from the lower league.
