Bartomeu is convinced that Messi will stay in Barcelona. Lautaro’s transfer to Barça is almost ruled out at this point.

The president of the Catalan Barcelona, Josep Bartomeu, spoke about Lionel Messi. He is sure that the Argentine will stay at the “Nou Camp” for several years.

“I have no doubt that Leo will keep his word and finish his career in Barcelona. Messi always says he wants to finish his career at Barça, and although his contract expires in 2021, Leo still has 3-4 more years to play at a high level.”

Bartomeu also talked about the transfers of Neymar and Lautaro.

The president of Barcelona also commented on Lautaro Martinez. The Inter forward has long been linked with the Spanish giants, though Bartomeu says negotiations are currently suspended based on a bilateral agreement.

“Barca talked to Inter about Lautaro for several weeks, but we stopped negotiations by mutual agreement. “Right now, the situation is not right for big investments. The current situation does not allow us to make such noisy and large transfers.”

Recall that Lionel Messi has been linked with a move to Inter Milan in recent times. However, Giuseppe Marotta, the sporting director of the Italian club, called the story unrealistic and impossible.

Is it possible to transfer Neymar? Not in the current situation. “PSG” do not want to sell him, which is logical because he is one of the world’s best players. Last summer we tried very hard to buy him, but this year we will not try.

The club lost 200 million euros from March to June. We expected 1.1 billion euros in revenue, but it came out 30% less. If the situation does not improve – people do not come to the stands or to museums and shops, we will lose money in the future.

A situation like this forces us to reconsider the cost. So, we have to adapt.
