New conditions are being set for Lionel Messi, but there has also been a lot of talk about moves elsewhere, and Kempes believes his compatriot should be open to taking on a new challenge outside of Spain.

Messi is very comfortable in Barcelona, but realizes that the chances of winning the Champions League again with Barca are slim. Kempes added, according to Lionel’s options, that Messi would move to Pep Guardiola in Man City, PSG or FC Bayern. These clubs either have money or players for great success.

Bayern, Paris Saint-Germain and City would fit into this category, but a move to Germany is unlikely given the lean approach to recruiting that reigning Bundesliga champions continue to champion. Mario also said that those responsible in Munich think with their heads, not wallets, and would never have paid such a high salary for Lionel.
