Liverpool paid 13 million euros to Kostas Tsimikas. Greek defender is considered a substitute for Andrew Robertson.

 

Liverpool have officially confirmed the transfer of Greek national team defender Kostas Tsimikas. The 24-year-old footballer has already signed a contract and wore a number 21 shirt.

“I am very happy and I am proud to be here. I think Liverpool are the biggest team in the world and it is a great honor to be here. Therefore, I will do my best for the success of the team,” said the Greek.

According to unofficial reports, the “Reds” paid 13 million euros to Olympiacos Piraeus. Tsimikas is a left-back, and Jürgen Klopp sees him as a backup for Andrew Robertson, who had no substitute last season. In the 2019/20 season, Tsimikas played 46 matches and did not score a goal, but made seven assists.

The official website of Liverpool has already confirmed the transfer of “Olympiacos” defender, Konstantinos Tsimikas. So, the 24-year-old Greek has signed a multi-year contract with the team and will wear the number 21 shirt.

The 24-year-old Greek left-back defended the honor of Olympiacos from 2015 to 2020. He spent 2017-2018 on rent in Esbjerg, Denmark, and Tilburg, the Netherlands.
