Liverpool launched an exemption clause in Ibrahima Konate’s contract at RB Leipzig, with a five-year contract negotiated with the French defender. The 22-year-old had been strongly associated with the Reds for some time, and a big-money move to England was now pushed through. A long-term deal has been agreed with the top-rated defender and he is poised to open a new chapter in his Anfield career.
