United dominated English football for years but has not won the Premier League since 2013. Chris Sutton, the BBC Radio pundit is made to believe they are a shadow of the side they used to be.

“Liverpool living in the moment, United living in the past” is the statement cutting across every Premier League fan with I included.

I have always been a Manchester United big supporter since the day I subscribed to football. But yesterday’s match proved to me otherwise.

Without sugarcoating the truth, Liverpool is living in the present as United is living in their shadows. I have reasons to conquer with Chris Sutton and I am sure you will agree with me.

Liverpool is a team that is improving all the time. They take each game as it is presented to them. On the other hand, my favorite club, United, has hit the wall. They are treading waters under Solskjaer. I mean, that is how it is. They are a bang average team and will not be able to catch up with Liverpool in the next couple of seasons.

As witnessed yesterday at Anfield, Liverpool fans are believing the Reds will win the Premier League this season. I am also forced to agree with the fans. But then I am reminded that football is sometimes predictable and other times unpredictable. Things change within seconds. In this case, I leave this to you the reader, to determine if Liverpool will surely claim the title after 30 years of waiting.

The power manager-Jurgen Klopp

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp was pleased with the efforts displayed by his tactfully trained players. However, he insists that their focus remains on taking each game as it comes despite the fans exploding with joy after their victory.

They sang, “we’re going to win the league” as the Reds close in on a first league title in 30 years.

Klopp, however, seemed not to join into the singing as he said, “they can sing that. I am not here to dictate what they sing. If our fans were not in a good mood now that would be strange.”

“Of course, they are allowed to dream and sing whatever they want as long as they do their job at the moment we play, all fine. But we will not be part of the party yet.”

“We are here to work. It is as simple as that. It is a very positive atmosphere but i have to stay concentrated.” Added Klopp.
