Former Chelsea winger, Willian is already an Arsenal player and has signed a 3-year contract with the Gunners. Mikel Arteta has high hopes for him.

The official website of London’s Arsenal has officially confirmed that former Chelsea striker Willian da Silva have joined them. The Brazilian footballer signed a 3-year contract with the “Gunners” and will wear a 12-number T-shirt.

The Brazilian winger has joined the ranks of the Gunners as a free agent, i.e. absolutely free after his contract with Chelsea expired a few days ago. The reason for the South American leaving the “Aristocrats” was that the club did not want to provide him with a 3-year contract.

“I believe Willian is a player who can change the situation in our favor. We have been watching him for the last few months. We had a clear intention to strengthen the attack. He is a player who will allow us to vary,” said London head coach Mikel Arteta.

Willian played for Chelsea for 7 years and scored 63 goals in 339 games. The Brazilian started his career at Corinthians in 2006 and then spent 6 seasons at Shakhtar Donetsk (221 games, 37 goals), from which he briefly moved to Russian Anzhi. The experienced midfielder has 70 games and 9 goals for the Brazilian midfielder.
