Luka Modric has been defending Real Madrid’s honor since 2012. The Croatian is one of the key players in the Royal Club and wants to finish career there.

Luka Modric moved to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window of 2012. The “Royal Club” was disgusted by this transfer and criticized Modric’s move to Spain.

Modric soon managed to silence the critics. The Croatian player has slowly established himself as one of the key and main figures of the Madrid team. The Croatian midfielder has soon become an integral part of the center of the pitch and has won many titles with Real Madrid, including 4 Champions Leagues.

Luke’s good play was appreciated. Croatia gained the most considerable recognition in 2018 when he was able to win the Messi-Ronaldo era and win the “Golden Ball.” Modric’s career is slowly coming to an end. Luka is 34 years old, and it is difficult to say how long he will play at the highest level.

The midfielder has a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2021. Modric himself believes that high-level play can last two more seasons. The Croatian player has a great desire to finish career in the Spanish capital.

“I am sure that I can play at a high level for another two years I want to finish my football career at Real Madrid, but it’s not up to me alone,” Modric told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
