A few days ago, Inter’s Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku said that the whole team might have had a Coronavirus.

During a live broadcast on Instagram, Lukaku said that almost all the players of “Nerazzuri” were coughing in the winter, and each of them had a fever, but no one passed the tests.

“We had a one-week break at the end of December. When we returned to the club, I swear, 23 of the 25 players were ill. I’m not joking!

We played Raja Nainggolan’s Cagliari, and after about 20 minutes, one of our defenders was forced to leave the pitch (note: Skriniar was substituted in the 17th minute). He couldn’t continue the game and almost fainted.

Everyone was coughing, and almost everyone had a fever. I was hotter than usual during the warming up. But before that, I had a normal temperature for years. ” – said Lukaku.

According to the Belgian striker, after the match with Cagliari (1: 1), the team had to have dinner with the representatives of Puma, but Lukaku felt bad and went to bed. “We have not been tested for Coronavirus. Consequently, we will never know exactly whether we had this virus. Seven of our players live on one street. The difference is big compared to England. We only had dinner together once in four months there, and in Italy, it happens at least once a month. ”

Lukaku apologized to the club for his words.

Romelu Lukaku apologized to the club for speaking out against the health condition of his teammates.

According to Italian media, Nerazzuri has accepted the excuse by a 26-year-old player. So, although the Belgian has violated the Inter’s disciplinary code, no fines are planned.

On the other hand, Inter denied Lukaku’s words about the players’ mass illness in January. The Milan club said that only four players had flu symptoms at the time – Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Danilo D’Ambrosio, and Alessandro Bastoni. All the other players who weren’t in order at the time actually had injuries.
