Monchengladbach started the year with a big win. Yesterday, they won another match and it was against Bayern Munich.

Marco Rose expected a big win

Borussia’s coach Marco Rose was positive before the clash. Along with Flick, he gave a very honest interview. Rose was indeed satisfied with the training of the team. The coach of Borussia noted that they wanted a win unlike the Mainz game. At the same time, Flick wanted an away win especially against Monchengladbach. Flick started the match with an interesting line-up. Robert Lewandowski was the main striker as always. Leroy Sane was playing on the right wing and Costa was playing from the left side. Muller’s main task was helping the attacking line from the deep.

Monchengladbach’s squad was also very interesting. Rose played with a regular, 4-3-3 formation. Stindl was center forward and he got help from two others. Embolo was playing from the right side and Hofmann was attacking from the left. Kramer helped the team from the deep as he was controlling the midfield.

Magical come-back

Bayern Munich had a magical come-back last week when they scored five goals in the second half against Mainz. The away team had a two-goal lead but Bayern scored five goals in the end. The same thing happened with the Monchengladbach clash. Bayern Munich was two goals ahead in the first 30 minutes. Robert Lewandowski scored a penalty and then Goretzka increased the lead. Monchengladbach equalized the match before the end of the first half. Hofmann scored two goals before the whistle of the referee and team went on the break with 2-2. At the start of the second half, Monchengladbach scored the third goal and it was the final result.
