With recent speculations, Manchester United is eyeing Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil next summer. The longtime rivals might be off to a new head-head transfer battle next summer for Marco Reus.

According to German Outlets, two Premier League Giants Arsenal & Manchester United are eyeing a move for Borrusia Dortmund’s proficient winger Marco Reus, whose contract is set to expire next summer and is yet to sign a new one.

The German BVB winger has been out with a ligament injury since May isn’t expected to return before 2018, but him being injury prone doesn’t seem to put off either Arsene Wenger or Jose Mourinho.

Wenger is looking for a new winger as his Chilean star Alexis Sanches is speculated to leave next summer when his contract expires for Manchester City. Scooping up Reus would be an ideal replacement for the Chilean for Wenger if he’s able to avoid getting injured.

Reus is turning 30 next year and recently spoke to GQ magazine about his future.

“There are four or five international clubs who interest me.

“On May 31 next year, I will turn 30. That would be my last big contract and a final opportunity to try something different.

“I have to be honest and fair and say I don’t know where I’ll end up. At the moment, I’m very happy in Dortmund and not thinking about what happens after 2019. But, of course, the time will come and then I will sit down and calmly make a decision.”

The words he’s spoken are unlikely to go down well with the Westfalenstadion, with them being by his side and supporting him everytime he’s been out for injury. However, Dortmund has had to make do without Reus on multiple occasions with him being injured multiple times in the past. Since his arrival in 2012, he’s just made 189 appearances and scored 89 goals. Will the German winger be moving to England? Only time will tell.
