Paris Saint-Germain’s striker Neymar has slammed his club after playing against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening. In the first match of the Champions League’s 1/8 Final, Borussia hosted PSG at “Signal Iduna Park” and thanks to Erling Haaland’s double, defeated them 2: 1.

The visitors’ only goal was scored by Neymar who returned to the pitch after a 4-match absence. A 28-year-old Brazilian striker had missed three games in Ligue 1 before his match at Dortmund and one in the French Cup.

Neymar has a reason to be angry

Neymar is dissatisfied with the fact that the French club has cut his playing practice due to caution. He thinks that they were scared and made worse. So, he was quite critical of his team after the game.

“It’s hard to miss four games in a row, but unfortunately, the decision was not made by me but by the club and the doctors. We talked a lot about it, and I wouldn’t say I liked it. I wanted to play and felt good, but the club was scared (that I wouldn’t get another injury). As a result, they made worse for me.

The club’s caution is clear, and I understand it. But I have missed the last two games of the club in the 1/8 Final. I respect their decision, but it can’t be right because it’s worse for the player. After missing all those four matches, it was really challenging to play intensively throughout the whole 90 minutes.

This is an entirely different level. If I were in the best shape, I would certainly play better,” the Brazilian told reporters after the match.

Noteworthy that the return match between Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund will take place in Paris on March 12 in the 1/8 final of the Champions League.
