Dana and Justin are back with another episode of The Goal Post. In this episode, they will preview the matches of matchweek 5.

Everton VS Liverpool

This match has a big attention. Everyone wants to watch it, so the government of England asks BT sports to air teh match free. Unfortunately, BT sports could approve the request because it’s a financial deal.

Exactly 10 years ago, Everton won their last home-match against Liverpool. As it seems, history has a favorite and it’s Liverpool. Currently, Everton is in the first spot. They won every possible match in the current Premier League run. Carlo Ancelotti’s boys are on fire and they score many goals too. Fans believe that Everton’s chance is fully related to Carlo and James. As you may know, James Rodriguez joined Everton from Los Blancos. He was playing for Los Merengues for five years. James fully changed the attacking line. He is playing from the middle and the attacks of Everton look sharp. Everton scored 12 goals in four matches, which means that team can score three goals on average. Liverpool is not in a good mood. Team lost the last round match against Aston Villa. It’s the first time when the defending Champions of the Premier League concede seven goals in a single match. Liverpool could not defend well against Aston Villa. Don’t think that Aston Villa is an average team. They have a perfect run in the last three rounds. They played three matches and won all of them. It means that Aston Villa is in the second position. Liverpool’s loss was a shock but conceding 7 goals was tougher. Fans believe that the match at Goodison Park will be very important for both.

Manchester City VS Arsenal

Another biggest hit of the round 5 will be a match in Manchester. City will host Arsenal and it will be a big reunion of coaches. Mikel Arteta was working with Josep Guardiola. It’s been a few years since Mikel worked as an assistant. After the departure of Arteta, Joseph’s team is different. Manchester CIty lost the clash with Liverpool last season. At the same time, Manchester City lost the fight for the Champions League trophy. Team changed as Guardiola can’t get desired results anymore. Total football strategy is not the same under Josep although he spent more than 500 Million pounds on defenders.

Manchester City played three matches in the Premier League. Unfortunately, they have a really bad run. In just three matches, they could get 4 points. After scoring only 6 goals, they conceded five. Arsenal is in a slight better situation. The Gunners could win three matches out of four. Currently, Arsenal scored 9 goals and conceded five. The only match they lost was against Liverpool – they lost the match without any chances. Experts believe that same scenario would be against Manchester City. Yes, Guardiola’s team has a bad run, but they can beat Arsenal’s defense easily. It will be an interesting match and teams will play right after the Merseyside Derby.
