Andrea Pirlo starts recruiting Juventus Turin coaching staff. The specialist wants to invite the legendary Italian defender Alessandro Nesta to Turin. Andrea and Alessandro were teammates in Milan and the national team as well.

 

Juventus Turin head coach Andrea Pirlo has offered former AC Milan and Italy defender, Alessandro Nesta, a job at his coaching staff. According to the Italian media, the 44-year-old specialist, who are currently training Frosinone in Serie B, is considering the proposal.

Andrea Pirlo was recently appointed head coach at Turin’s Juventus and replaced Maurizio Sarri, under whose leadership the team had previously conceded a two-round clash with Lyon in the Champions League ¼ final.

Pirlo has begun staffing the coaching staff and has already included coach-analysts Roberto Baronio and Antonio Galliard. It is known that Paolo Bertelli will be responsible for the physical training of the team. On the other hand, Igor Tudor will work with the defenders. So far, the vacancy is for the position of Assistant Head Coach, and it may be Alessandro Nesta.

As for the latter, Nesta took over the Serie B team in the summer of 2019, having previously worked in Miami and Perugia. Frosinone finished eighth in the league and qualified for the elite playoffs. But they lost in the final to Episode. So, they failed to meet the set goal. That’s why the club’s management is likely to say goodbye to him. According to the local press, the issue of Nesta staying in Frosinone should be resolved in the near future.

Alessandro Nesta has played for Lazio, Milan, Canadian Montreal Impact, and Chinese Chennai. In the Italian national team, he became the world champion in 2006 together with Andrea Pirlo, with whom he also played in Milan.
