The Brazilian forward talked about his Parisian career. He thinks that he is in the top shape now. According to Neymar, PSG is close to winning the Champions League.

Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, from Barcelona. The transfer of the Brazilian to the French champions cost 222 million euros, which is a record amount paid to the player so far.

The 28-year-old has won nine titles with PSG over his one-year French career. Nevertheless, the Parisians were unable to win the most important and desirable tournament for them, the Champions League.

In the 2019/20 Champions League season, PSG has reached the quarter-finals, where its opponent will be Italian Atalanta. The clash will take place on August 12, and it will be a one-match contest instead of the traditional two-match showdown.

Neymar has said he is now in top shape during his three-year stay in Paris and thinks PSG have the best chance of winning the coveted Champions League this year.

“I gained a lot of knowledge during these three years. There were happy moments and difficult periods. I had a hard time, especially when the injury did not allow me to play. With my teammates’ help, I was able to overcome difficulties and focus on what really matters. “We want to win the Champions League. We will fight for it because we have never been so close to it,” Neymar said.

The South American player played 15 games in the 2019/20 season of Ligue 1, where he showed himself with 13 goals and six assists. Neymar was also good in the Champions League, where he scored three goals and two assists in 4 matches.
