Neymar Jr. scored the 300th Goal of his Senior Career while playing for PSG against Monaco last week. 27 years-old Brazilian forward has scored a total of 366 goals. He has scored  61 goals in 101 matches for the National Team of Brazil. And the remaining 305 goals Neymar has scored for different clubs. Neymar da Silva Santos Junior is the third-highest goalscorer for his national team after Pele and Ronaldo.

Neymar’s Club Career

Neymar started his career at Santos at the age of 17 in 2009. He scored his very first goal for Santos against Mogi Mirim.

The Brazilian forward stayed in Santos until 2013 and racked up a total of 136 goals for the club.

In May 2013, he got an offer from Barcelona and signed for five years. Neymar helped the club win the league, the domestic cup, the Champions League, and some other competitions as well.

Five years ago, he won the Champions League with Barcelona.

In 2016 Barcelona extended the contract for Neymar. But in 2017 Paris Saint-Germain paid a largest-ever transfer fee of €222 million for his rights. According to the current contract, the Brazilian forward is staying in PSG until 2022.

According to Forbes, in 2019, Neymar Jr. became the third-highest-paid athlete worldwide, after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Transfer to PSG was a bigger chance of success for the Brazilian forward.

He needs to win the biggest trophy, and even now Paris Saint-Germain offers him a better future and route than he can have in Barcelona.

Nostalgia for Barcelona

According to all rumors and gossips, Neymar would happily return to his lovely city and the club. Two of his close friends are still playing in Barca. But the team has absolutely changed, and his friends are in their own career routes.

Everyone knows how great he is, but while playing with Messi, he left behind. Accordingly, he missed the chance of being the greatest.

Staying in PSG is the only chance for him to focus on bringing glory for the club and get back to the very top again.
