As you know, the 52-year-old specialist is unemployed after parting ways with Juventus. The Italian recalled why he once refused to work in Real Madrid. Massimiliano Allegri has an important club project and ambitions. So, Allegri prepares to return.

Former head coach of Turin’s Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, spoke to the media about how he used his free time and where he intends to continue his career.

Massimiliano has resigned as head coach of the Turin team after the 2018/19 season and has been unemployed ever since.

“I used my free time to recharge my batteries and enjoy being with my family and hometown, Livorno, where my old friends live.

I don’t care which country I work in – Italy or abroad. I’m looking for a club that will have the appropriate project and ambitions, “said the 52-year-old Italian specialist.

In May 2018, when Zinedine Zidane announced his departure from Real Madrid, Massimiliano Allegri was also considered a candidate for the Royal Club. In the end, Real opted for Julen Lopetegui.

“We had a meeting with Real two years ago, but then the contract was with Juventus. Besides, I had moral obligations – I was loyal to the club and the fans,” Allegri recalled. “Working for the Spanish league? Who would refuse such an option? I don’t think anyone would.”

Massimiliano Allegri has never worked outside Italy’s borders, and the most famous teams in the homeland have been coached by Milan and Juventus. The specialist worked in Milan from 2010-14 and won the Scudetto and the country’s Super Cup with him. Allegri was much more successful at Juventus, which he coached in 2014-19. In his hands, the Turinese have won the Serie A five times, as well as the Italian Cup 4 times and the country’s Super Cup twice.
