Support for George Floyd
As you may know, George Floyd was killed by police in Minneapolis a few days ago, which led to protests in the country and the burning of a police building. Not only the United States but also the football world has united because of George Floyd.
Gladbach forward Marcus Tiuram celebrated his goal with kneeling.
After Tiuram, Jason Sancho also expressed his solidarity. Sancho scored a hat-trick against Paderborn, and the Englishman scored the first goal in solidarity with George Floyd – ‘Justice For George Floyd’ – this inscription can be read on Sancho’s shirt.
After those beautiful gestures in the Bundesliga, this time, “Liverpool” also protested against the fact that happened in Minneapolis. The Reds players gathered in the center of Anfield Road and knelt on their feet.
The Chelsea players also paid tribute to the memory of George Floyd. The Londoners lined up on the pitch and knelt.
PSG bought Mauro Icardi from Milan
French champions Paris Saint-Germain took advantage of a clause in Mauro Icardi’s contract, and the striker, who had been on loan until the summer, was finally redeemed from Inter Milan. Icardi signed an agreement with the Parisians until 2024. The French Grand officially confirmed this information on Sunday. In exchange for the Argentine, Inter will receive 60 million euros.
In 31 official matches in the form of PSG, 27-year-old Icardi managed to score 20 goals. Recall that the Argentine was stripped of his Inter captaincy in February 2019, and he had no future in Antonio Conte’s formation ‘Nerazzurri.’
