When Manchester United hit rock bottoms last season, Solskjaer vowed to bring about changes. The question is, is he fulfilling them?
The Manchester United boss received his appointment in the club on 19th December 2018. As the new manager, he won his first eight games amassing more Premier League points than any other club during that time.
He appeased Manchester United fans at the end of last season with the promise that change was on its way. Unluckily, Jack Wilkinson feels that Solskjaer has not delivered on that promise.
Solskjaer beginnings in the club
On his first appointment, Solskjaer had a sensational start. 10 wins and a draw from his first 11 games became nothing more than a distant memory.
This made Garry Neville label the performance at Goodison park “rancid.” Even after apologizing to the traveling United fans, Solskjaer promised wholesale change.
This was a steely statement. Looking at the five months transformation of Solskjaer, it suggests it’s a promise he will keep.

Ferguson was already barking out orders even before the ink dried on his first Manchester United contract in 1986. Chairman, Martin Edward got informed of Scot’s wish to sign eight players.
This kind of decisiveness in the transfer market appears to have rubbed off on Solskjaer.
Players deemed no longer fit were sent out of the club by any means. Whether through sales like Romelu Lukaku and Matteo Darmian, departures of Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia, or the financing and pushing through loan deals for Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling, there is a ruthless end to United’s dealings.

After the defeat at Everton, Solskjaer set out the fundamental principle he wants to define with his time at Old Trafford. “I want my team to be the hardest working team in the league,” he said. “That is what we were under Sir Alex.”
United’s first four Premier League games this season and their final four last season give very little indications as to what he will settle on other than the fact that there is a lot of work.
Time is what will ultimately determine Solskjaer’s chances of success. Will he see out the project he has started?
