Paul Pogba injury

Paul Pogba looks certain to miss Sunday’s crunch clash against Liverpool. The Manchester United medic fears that the French international could be sidelined until at least the end of October.

The player has arrived in Dubai to complete a warm-weather rehabilitation program at the state-of-the-art Transform Altitude Performance Center. He has done this in hope of accelerating his recovery from a foot injury.

The situation has rendered Pogba to almost be sure of missing the visit of league leaders, Liverpool in a game that could have a significant bearing on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future.

The 26-year-old midfielder had a video of himself in Dubai posted completing a battle rope session with the message, ‘Almost there.”

However, the World Cup winner’s injured right foot remains in a protective case.

Pogba will report back to the club’s Carrington HQ next week. Here, United medics will have a clear idea of the date Pogba may be able to return.

More concerns

Pogba may be unavailable for further matches beyond the game against Merseyside’s. All of which are likely to influence whether Solskjaer keeps his job or loses it.

After the clash against the Reds, Red Devils faces Partizan in the Europa League before a Premier League visit to Norwich.

United will conclude their month with a Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The prospects of being without Pogba will come as a worry to Solskjaer as he looks to turn United’s faltering season around.
