Michael Owen claims Paul Pogba lacks the coach’s trust as he has been regularly deployed on the left side rather than the central midfield role.

The former Manchester United player thinks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not trust the French midfielder. He claims the tactician opts to use Fred and Mc Tominaiy at the base of the United’s midfield.

According to Owen, Solskjaer ‘doesn’t trust’ Pogba and he opts to use the two defending midfielders.

“I know every Manchester United fan around the world would agree: get Paul Pogba in alongside one sitting midfield player,” Owen said.

“Then you can get an extra body going forward. The likes of Cavani and you can put Fernandes in behind with the two normal wide players,” he added.

However, Owen argues that Solskjaer should always trust Pogba even in tough games.

“Whenever they play against a very good side, he goes back to basics. He goes back to thinking, “I need those two protective midfield players”.

“When he’s playing an average team at home, he’ll go and play all his stars. He lets the shackles off,” the English man argued.

“But I don’t think he totally trusts Pogba in that role as a central midfield player alongside one of them,” he concluded.

Rumors links Pogba with a return to Turin however, the midfielder recently insisted that he is happy at the club.

Meanwhile, Alan Shearer claims Cavani is a hungry incredible forward who wants to score goals.  Shearer says that it’s absolutely essential that Old Trafford outfits keep hold of the Uruguay international.

“This guy is incredible. He’s just deadly. His movement, to get in there, the hunger to keep on scoring goals,” Shearer claimed.

“He gets in between the fullback and the center-half, they haven’t got a clue where he is,” he added.

“Absolutely magnificent. He’s been doing it for years. They have to try and keep hold of him,” he continued.
