Paul Scholes fears Man Utd may miss out on a perfect Haaland transfer, as the Borussia Dortmund forward is still in the running to head towards rivals Manchester City.

Erling Haaland would be the perfect addition

Interest in the Norwegian international continues to build, with league giants Barcelona and Real also on a growing list of nagging. United have investigated the Erling Haaland signing in the past, and boasted of Ole Gunnar’s trump card on Old Trafford, but securing the most sought-after signatures promises to be tough – especially since high spending neighbors are also sniffing around.

He would have made a big impact, United legend Paul Scholes spoke of Erling Haaland’s ties to the red devils. He thinks there is every chance that he will join the City. According to him, he does not know, but there is a relationship with Ole Gunnar that he had in the past. They all know how good he is, although he heard this morning that he didn’t score in six games, which worries him a little.

He also said that look, Man Utd is desperately looking for a No. 9, all-out center forward. Erling would be the perfect choice, of course. There are a couple more players who will also be doing this job and besides, they have to think about his father with reference to City. It can be strong in this situation and that they should see if he leaves he comes to the red side of Manchester.

Will Erling Haaland leave Dortmund?

As speculation began to build about the future of the 20-year-old, the Dortmund people were eager to point out that they had no intention of selling. Mino Raiola, the Norwegian’s agent, is touring Europe as he negotiates with a number of stakeholders. United would have been among those already showing off ties to Raiola through another high-profile client, France’s international midfielder Pogba. The Red Devils could step up their efforts to get another proven frontman aboard if Cavani heads for the gates of Old Trafford, with the experienced Uruguayan who saw the move to Boca Juniors practice.
