Pep Guardiola described the Premier League Man City’s triumph during the coronavirus pandemic as the worst.

Pep Guardiola is proud to be the coach of City

City’s third title in four years was confirmed on Tuesday when runner-up Man Utd fell 2-1 at home against Leicester City. He completed a big turnaround for City, who were 11th in November after a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham, but secured the crown with three games in hand. Pep Guardiola said it was the season and the Premier League title like no other and it was the hardest part. According to Guardiola, they will always remember this season for how they won. Pep is proud to be the manager of this group of players. They are so special. Getting through this season with all the constraints and difficulties they faced and showing the consistency they have is wonderful. It’s relentless. Every day they are there, fighting for success, always trying to be better. They were so, so persistent.

This is where you belong

Pep Guardiola believes this title was the most difficult to win due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The season started late with their players under-prepared and the shorter schedule meant they didn’t have a mid-week until May. Players were hit by the Covid-19 outbreak around Christmas, which closed the training ground, but Pep Guardiola led them to another title, as well as winning the Carabao Cup, with the Champions League final against Chelsea. The City boss also said that at the start of each season of the Premier League, the most important title for them. This is where you have to be there every three days, playing all your opponents home and away and only being the best, week after week, can they win this competition and it’s a huge success.
