Sacked Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo claims he will always choose Juventus despite all the obstacles he had to face.
The former Bianconeri midfielder reveals he chose Juventus without considering what was waiting for him. He says the club’s respect clouded him that he never reflected the risks.
Despite the fact that Pirlo had no coaching experienced, Juve gambled and hire him, but that didn’t pay off. As a result, Juventus have paid the price they took hiring the former Italy midfielder
Pirlo admits on an Instagram post that things have never been good. He reveals on Instagram, “My first season as a coach is over. It was a complicated and marvelous season at the same time.”
He reiterated that he would again choose Juventus if a chance comes by. The former midfielder continued to say he did not consider the risk.
Pirlo said, “When Juventus called me, I never thought about the risks, even though they were pretty evident. The respect for this club prevailed and the same is true of my desire to play at the highest levels.”
He added, “If I could go back in time, I would make the same choice. Despite all the obstacles I had to face, linked with a difficult situation for everybody – which didn’t allow me to plan my choices and follow my playing style.”
“However, I reached the required goals. This adventure ended in a way I didn’t expect but has made my future even clearer,” the ‘Maestro’ continued.
Finally, Pirlo hopes for the best as he claims it time to start again. He thanked the Juventus fraternity who supported him and cheered the team as they rallied together.
“I hope it will be full of the same satisfaction I’ve had as a footballer. It’s time to start again and face new challenges. I want to thank those of the Juventus family who supported me during the season,” he concluded.
