Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino insists he is focused on the club’s development after reports link him to Tottenham’s return.
Pochettino claims he is happy at the club and has seen significant improvement since arriving in January. Reports claim the Argentine is unhappy and spurs return is on the card but he has dismissed such claims.
Pochettino said, “I’m happy with the way the players have adapted to the changes. There are many things which could not be changed or which could not be developed for lack of time.”
“I am of course proud of the efforts of the team. Because we are the only ones who know what condition the team was in and what we were capable of. I am happy with everything we have done to stay alive until the last days in all competitions,” he claimed.
Also, the Argentine claims PSG should be proud as they only know the condition they were, in January.
“I think that given the conditions in which we arrived in January, we should be proud of everything. And of all the people who took part in this course,” Pochettino said.
Also, the former Tottenham Hotspurs coach explains his relationship with the club. He says it takes no time to know a person.
“You know, it doesn’t take a long time to get to know a person. Nowadays, the footballer immediately captures the bottom of a person. You can hang out for ten years and not create a bond,” he said.
“And in a short time, you can create a really great connection. It is clear that we, as a coaching team, received affection from everyone when we arrived. And through our way of being, spontaneous and natural relationships were created. And it leads to those types of moments,” the last season UEFA finalist explains.
