Transfer rumors link the two to a summer move away from the Parisian side with several European giants keeping tabs. According to Pochettino, both players are likely to be part of the capital club next season.

“The club wants to win the Champions League. And the aim of this club is to keep Neymar and Kylian so that they stay for many years,” Pochettino reveals.

Pochettino believes that winning the UEFA Champions League trophy could boost in convincing the stars to stay. Although there is a long way to go in the Champions League, Pochettino is confident of a good result. He says, “The objective is to keep the best players.”

The two PSG stars contracts run until 2022, but the manager is optimistic they will extend their contracts. Neymar Jr. speculates on a possible return to FC Barcelona. While the big European clubs target the hot cake Mbappe with Real Madrid leading the chase.

“[I am] equally optimistic with both. In three months, we have [developed] a very good relationship,” Pochettino said.

“Both players are very committed to the club. Any team would like to have them in their ranks. I am optimistic that they will stay,” the former Tottenham Hotspurs coach said.

Neither of them has shown interest in extending their contract with both insisting on focusing on the season. However, Pochettino vowed he will fight to keep the French international at the club.

“I would fight with all my might for him to stay with us. After sharing a dressing room with Kylian for three months, I will fight with all my might for him to stay with us,” he insists.

PSG had a poor season that has seen the Parisian fall off the top spot with Lille pushing to claim the Ligue 1 title.
