Last Summer Kylian Mbappe’s Transfer saga was the one you would’ve thought it would be. But the twists haven’t ended yet.

If he’ll leave Monaco or not was a massive question last summer with €100m offers coming in from the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal & PSG.

The young Frenchman made a name for himself early in helping Monaco to the Ligue 1 title, and a very unlikely Champions League Semi-Final.
PSG wasn't Kylian Mbappe's first choice
But after the end he returned to his home city Paris, signing for PSG for right after they had secured Neymar as well for record-shattering €222 million.

However, Mbappe rather wanted to replace Neymar at Barcelona, informed by Lionel Messi’s previous agent Josep Maria.

“It would have been €120 million plus €30m bonus [a move to Barcelona]. The boy only wanted to go to Barcelona when he learned that Neymar was leaving. He didn’t want to go to Paris or Madrid, who have their front three, he wanted to go there and nowhere else.

“But Barca were on Dembele, Dembele and Dembele, because a year earlier they had wanted to sign him for €15 million.”

With the Catalan side fully determined to replace Neymar, were very interested in BVB youngster Dembele. And Mbappe not wanting to join Real Madrid was his doubts on playing time over any of the infamous BBC attacking trio. Josep Maria Minguella had also commented.

“I’ve nothing against Bartomeu, but he’s a disaster. These are the key moments. I fully understood that he didn’t want to go to Madrid or Paris. He’d have been mad with joy to play alongside Lionel Messi.”
