Bayern Munich’s Polish star Robert Lewandowski has named his three favorite players, including his childhood idol.

A role model for Lewandowski was Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry. Besides, the Polish forward was delighted with the game of Italian forwards, Alessandro Del Piero and Roberto Baggio:

“When I was 6, I used to watch Roberto Baggio’s games often. I remember the 1994 World Cup very well. At the age of 10-14, the best player for me was Alessandro Del Piero.

As for my favorite player, he was Thierry Henry. His strengths were not just scoring goals and performing class. I was amazed at everything he did for his team.

Even standing to the left side of the penalty area, he could have scored such a goal in the right corner that you thought it was easy for him to do so. I always wanted to score a lot of goals, and I tried to learn a lot from him.

When I met Henry, I couldn’t believe it. Wow, my childhood role model player is standing in front of me. The fantastic thing is that today he wants my t-shirt. Now I believe that dreams can come true.” – said Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski paid $ 1 million for those affected by the virus.

Robert Lewandowski and his wife Anna donated 1 million euros. Bild published their joint statement:

“Today, we all play in one team. We have to stand firm in this fight. If we can help someone, we have to help. The current situation hurts us all. So please follow the instructions and listen to the people who know the issue. Show responsibility!”
