Robert Lewandowski gave a very honest interview to Bundesliga’s officials. He talked about his career, goals, Jurgen Klopp and many more.

Jurgen Klopp as his ‘father’ figure

Bayern’s striker was just crowned as the Fifa’s Men best player in the world for 2020. His performance in 2020 was stellar as he broke many records in Champions League and Bundesliga. Keep in mind that Bayern won all possible trophies last season. Robert Lewandowski is on the same course this season. He broke few records already in this season of Bundesliga. Currently he has scored 20 goals in Bundesliga run and feeling very confident about it.

Robert Lewandowski said that he is a complete player thanks to Klopp. He noted that German coach was a really good teacher. It seems that Jurgen wanted only A+ players in Dortmund and that’s why Robert never gave up. Robert noted that Jurgen taught him a lot of things. When he first signed for Dortmund, Robert wanted to play in a fast way – one touch, one shot, everything in line. Klopp taught him to be calm and patient and if there is a necessity, make touch the ball a few times.

Turning point with Jurgen Klopp

Lewandowski said that at the start of the second season in Dortmund, he struggled  a lot. He said that there was a point when he could not understand the intention of the coach. That’s why he sat down with the coach and had an open-hearted chat. Robert said that it was a life-changing moment for him as after that chat, Robert felt more confident and started scoring more goals.
