According to Sky Sport Italia, the president of Roma, Dan Friedkin, has agreed to extend the contract of Nicolo Zaniolo.

According to the source, the crucial factor in making a decision for the player was the personal meeting and conversation with the first person of the club.

Thus, signing a new contract is only a time factor. A new contract will be signed between the parties once a new sports director is appointed in Rome. Nicolo has a contract with “Jaloros” until 2024. However, because of the huge interest in the young player, the management of the capital club wants to sign a longer cooperation with Zaniolo. Of course the contract will include improved conditions, the details of which have not been disclosed yet.

Recall that the 21-year-old Roma midfielder suffered a serious injury while playing for the Italian national team about a month ago. Zaniolo cut off the cruciate ligament of his knee during a confrontation with the Netherlands. So, his return to the field is scheduled for March or April next year.

Nicolo Has been playing for Roma since 2018 and has managed to score ten goals in 53 Serie A matches. With the national team jersey, Zaniolo has scored two goals in seven matches.
