Roma legend, former team captain and striker Francesco Totti may return to work at the club in the near future.

According to Italian media, 44-year-old Totti, who held the position of director in Rome for some time after the end of his career, has just met with the leadership of the capital club.

Francesco Totti met with the new owners of Roma, Dan and Ryan Friedkins, as well as CEO Guido Fienga and received an offer from them – the role of Roma representative.

As they write, Totti himself is interested in a post in the club that involves making decisions. More specifically, Francesco wants to be the technical director. This time the parties could not reach a decision but agreed to hold another meeting.

Francesco Totti spent his entire professional career in Rome (1992-2017), and with the team, he became Italian champion and two-time winner of the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup. At the end of his career, he became the director of the club, but he left two years later, in June 2019, due to a disagreement with the then management.

Totti won the World Cup with the Italian national team in 2006 and became the European Vice-Champion in 2000.
