Italian side Juventus has insisted on keeping their goal wizard Cristiano Ronaldo at the club as transfer rumors grow.

The club’s vice president, Pavel Nedved expects Ronaldo to stay at the club as his contract runs to 2022 June. Rumors has linked Ronaldo to a summer transfer away from the Turin following blames on Juve Champions League exit but Nedved has insists he will stay.

Nedved has come clear and quash those claims insisting that Ronaldo is a football icon and will remain in the club.

“As far as I am concerned, Ronaldo won’t leave. He has a contract until June 2022, and he will stay. We’ll see what will happen afterwards,” Nedved said.

“Cristiano Ronaldo pushed us towards the Olympus of football, both on technically and in terms of image. He scored more than 100 goals in 120 matches, and, besides, he dragged us into the Champions League,” he added.

Despite the poor results, Nedved insists that Ronaldo is a performer and has achieved a lot. He revealed that he is a simple guy and a symbol of the modern player.

“He’s a simple guy, although he may not look like that from the outside. He is the prototype of a modern player who has achieved incredible targets with immense talent and a lot of work,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte is likely to lift the Serie A title and ends Juventus dominant. Despite that, Nedved has welcomed the rivalry and states he is happy for Moratta and Conte.

“I have no message for Conte. He was brought to Inter to win and he knows how to do it. There is and there will always be a rivalry but in amity,” Nedved stated.

“He is now ten points above Juventus, and he has an obligation to win. He is aware of that.

“We know how he and Marotta work. I am happy he (Marotta) recovered (from COVID). I am happy for him. He’s been a master for all of us. We are happy for them,” he said.
