Saul Niguez is not going to leave Atletico Madrid. “I have a long-term contract with the club, and I want to be here.”

A few days ago, Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez announced a “new club” on the social network. That was followed by a lot of speculation. Everyone was talking about the fact that the Spaniard was going to leave “RojiBlancos.” So, his future has been linked with a number of clubs, most notably Manchester United.

Saul later released a new statement about the “new club,” which included the fact that the 25-year-old has laid the groundwork for a new football club.

A week ago, Saul confirmed on Twitter that he and his brother had founded a new football club in the city of Elche. According to the project, the new club will have 30 teams from 4 to 18 years old, where a total of 500 players will compete. The club was named Costa City.

Now the Atletico midfielder has talked to Marca about his future.

“I’m reading articles. But I can’t understand why you’re writing this, because there’s no new club. I’m totally focused on Atletico. I have a long contract with the club, and I signed it because I want to be here.

I have no reason to leave here. My family, my home is here. I want to succeed with Atletico – to get into the top four in La Liga this year and fight for the Champions League title, ”Saul said.

Saul Niguez was brought up by Atletico Madrid. He has been with the main team since July 2013 and has a contract until the summer of 2026. Saul’s transfer fee is around 72 million euros.
