According to Scholes United have to change and step up. He said the team’s quality has to be better. United goalless draw  leaves leaders Manchester City to go 12 points clear.

“They’ve got to change it, the quality has got to be better. The big players have got to step up,” former Red Devils said.

Fernandes, 26-year-old, made Zero-shot on target, created just one chance. Scholes criticizes Fernandes that he needs to “step up” in the big games.

“Again Fernandes today – I can’t remember him doing anything. I don’t remember him creating a chance. I don’t remember him having a shot on goal. So the quality is disappointing. They’ve got to get it better against these big clubs,” he added.

He claimed United’s center-backs need extra protection from the midfielders, that “takes away everything from your attacking ability.”

Scholes said the duo don’t get up and they’re too deep.

“A lot of the problems I see are them, two center-halves and goalkeeper. Not so much goalkeeper today.

“If they’re going to get to that next level they’ve got to be braver. They’ve got to be braver in the center of the pitch,” Scholes continued.

“The two center-halves leave them, let them defend.” He possed. “Who are you playing against? An average Chelsea forward?

“He’s perfect for them two today. Mason Mount isn’t going to run away from them, (Hakim) Ziyech isn’t quick, no pace. They’ve got nothing to worry about.

“Let your midfield players join in attacks,” he concluded.

Scholes was a mestro and an important part of Sir Alex Furguson midfield. He did retired for over a season an returned to see unite claim their 2oth Premier League title.

United fans remembers Scholes for his screamer Goal against FC Barcelona in EUFA Champions League, 2008 to qualify to the finals.
