Lopetegui’s team Sevilla beats the Granada CF 2:0. Luuk de Jong scored another goal in the 1st half of the game. Granada can’t beat such a squad without missing players.

 

Lopetegui’s team double kicks against Granada CF

Granada CF already lost his second match in La Liga. After the lost game at Camp Nou, the team lost at Sevilla too. Diego’s team fought till the end, but unfortunately for them, they lost. Sevilla’s last game was against Real Madrid, and they lost with score 2:1.

 

Formations and starting lineups

Hosts started their match with formation 4-3-3. Four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers. The 1st half started with impressive domination of the hosts. Sevilla played well, and there weren’t any goal attempts or shots on goal from the Granada team. This part of the game was mostly interesting for football supporters because Lopetegui’s side scored both goals in the first half. On 11th minute Jesus Navas played a neat lofted pass into the box for Luuk de Jong, who strikes the defender in the air and planted a header into the top right corner from close range 1:0. In the 23 minutes on 34’, Oliver Torres played a pass to the feet of Nolito, and he shoots into the bottom right corner from inside the box, it’s 2:0. 1st half ended with the total goal attempt statistics 6:0.

The second half was for Diego’s squad better than 1st. But they ended the match without any scored goals. Lopetegui made all three substitutions on 46th, 71st and 86th minutes. He replaced Franco Vazquez, Nolito, Lucas Ocampos by Nemanja Gudelj, Jules Kounde, and Youssef En-Nasyri. Martinez has made a change on 46th, 78th, and 86th minutes. He replaced Yan Brice Eteki, Darwin Machis, Domingos Duarte by Dimitri Foulquier, Alvaro Vadillo, and Jesus Vallejo. On 54th-minute ball, possession was 63:37 and shots on for both team 9:5. There were only a few attempts to open score for Granada, but on of them was most entertaining, when Roberto Soldado unleashed a mid-range direct free-kick, but the goalkeeper saved his strike. The 2nd half ended on 93rd minute with total attempts -12:8.
