Manchester United went beyond Copenhagen. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Yesterday, on August 10, two matches of the 1/4-final stage of the Europa League were held.
The match turned out to be tense, where Manchester United faced Copenhagen. The teams needed extra time to reveal the winner – the main time ended goallessly. In the 94th minute, a penalty was awarded against Copenhagen, which was used accurately by Bruno Fernandes. It was this goal for United to reach the semi-finals.
After the match, United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a comment to reporters.
“We are in the semi-finals for the third time this season. I think that our team deserved it. Their goalkeeper looked great, and we still kicked the ball several times.
This match also showed that Copenhagen is a well-organized team. So, I knew that it would be difficult to “break” them. That’s why we had to wait for the moment because I knew we would have a chance. Manchester United have such forwards who can create the moment.
We will meet the winner of Sevilla and Wolves in the semi-finals. “Both are good teams. We are not against either,” Solskjaer said.
