Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned his lads to be “aware” of the threat posed by Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish when they visit Villa Park this Thursday.

United’s boss, Solskjaer is a fan to Jack Grealish whom he witnessed score an outstanding goal in the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in December.

Grealish is likely to again be a key player for Aston Villa when United visits with four points from safety with just five Premier League matches to complete the season.

Solskjaer said, “Last game they caused us some problems. Both Grealish off the left and Anwar EL Ghazi off the right. He scored a fantastic goal”.

“There have been lots said about him and we need to be aware of him. Whoever is close to him, if he’s off the left, in the middle, on the right. What he does is attract players to him and create space for others. So, there’s not just one player in that Villa team, there’s many of them”.

Aston Villa has not won at home since January and United has lost at Villa Park in the League on the opening day of the 1995/96 season. They have only suffered defeat once in their last 25 visits in a third-round League Cup tie that Solskjaer started in 1999.

“Villa has shown since lockdown they can hold their own”. Added Solskjaer.

“They’ve had tight games; they’ve worked on their shape and their counter-attacks are one of the most powerful ones in the league. They spring quickly, set-plays, some good first contact players, big size and some individual players”.
