The South Korean International, Son Heung-min is an all-kind player, fully committed to the cause. It’s no coincidence that the forward has established himself as one of the Premier League’s elite since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.

Dedication, Hard work, and incredibly single-minded approach have catapulted the South Korean to the very top. He was a key man during a tough season at Spurs and many praised his work ethic and mentality throughout.

However, did you know that the 28-year-old will not marry until he retires?

In an interview with The Guardians, Son spoke about his father telling him when he marries, the number one will be family, wife, and kids and then football.

“My father says this and I agree as well.” Said Son.

“When you marry, the number one will be family, wife, and kids and then football. I want to make sure that while I play at the top level, football can be number one. You don’t know how long you can play at the top level.”

“When you retire, or when you are 33 or 34, you can still have a long life with your family”.

Son’s likable personality, combined with his extinguished performance on the pitch has made him a fan favorite for club and country. He scored eleven goals and assisted the same amount for Spurs this season as they finished sixth in the Premier League.

The forward also used football’s suspension during the COVID-29 pandemic to complete his mandatory military service. Marine Corps officials were overwhelmed with Son’s performance and he placed in the top five out of 157 trainees back in May.
