Football match between Tottenham and Burnley was rewarding. Having spent the night on Tottenham’s Stadium, Mourinho’s efforts were rewarded when his club clinched their 5-0 win against Burnley.

Son picked up the ball on the edge of his area before sprinting the length of the pitch. He slotted in to give Spurs a 3-0 half0time lead.

Burnley had their chances in the first half. However, they paid dearly for their defensive vulnerability when Robbie Brady hit the woodwork.

Harry Kane took advantage of more slack defending to fire in the fourth goal. Then, combined with Moussa Sissoko, again, allowed to waltz through unchallenged for the fifth.

“The best goal of my life”

Son’s stunning solo goal captured the headlines. With no doubts, it will be lauded on social media and endlessly replayed in the coming months.

The South Korean collected the ball on the edge of his area when Spurs were 2-0 up. Son used his blistering pace to drive forward with the visiting players struggling to get back.

The Clarets shirts in front of Son were too afraid of diving in. they let him skip through. That he did by gliding past Mathew Lowton and Erik Pieters.

That presented him with Burnley keeper Nick Pope to beat. Perhaps, most impressively, he maintained his composure to slot in.

“I think it is the best goal of my life.” Said Son.

“I don’t know what happened until the end. When I got the ball, I tried to pass to Dele Alli and waited for his movement.”

“But I couldn’t find him so I just went and went. I am happy to score this goal.”

A clean sheet for Spurs

Mourinho stands as one of the world’s leading managers. He has delivered trophies at a host of top clubs and has built on the defensive organization and stability of his teams.

It was the attacking nature of his new side’s performance that caught the eye. Spurs produced their most devastating display under the Portuguese.

Spurs looked forward to amending their limp defeat at Manchester United. The club hassled and harried from the first whistle pressing Burnley quickly and putting them under an amount of pressure with which they could not cope.

Kane’s quick opener set the tone. From that point, it looked as though Burnley would struggle to come away from North London with anything other than defeat.

Spur’s position was strengthened by Moura. Once Son added the stunning third, their focus primarily came on keeping a first clean sheet under Mourinho.

In the build-up, Mourinho again called for his club to stop conceding “cheap goals.” Despite allowing Burnley chances which they could not take, finally got his wish.

“There are still a few holes and chances to opponents. But we were much, much more solid.” Said Mourinho.

“It is the best day because it’s a complete performance. It was perfect.”
