Football NewsSpanish Primera Division – 7 round review

It was a perfect weekend in Spain. The 7th round of La Liga has some exciting results and matches to talk about. First of all, we should mention the La Liga table. After seven rounds, Real Madrid is still on top of the table. Los Blancos has 15 points, and the club is undefeated in La Liga so far. Hazard’s team scored 12 and conceded six while Barcelona 16 and conceded 10. Barcelona is in the fourth position with 13 points, one point away from Atletico and two points away from Real Madrid.

First away win for Barcelona in the last seven games

Do you know that Barcelona could not win their previous seven games away from Camp Nou? It’s a disastrous result and fans could not hold back. Finally, Blaugrana could secure an easy away win although the opponent was Getafe.

In the last season, Getafe lost only two home matches, so it was a hard task for Barcelona. We saw a different level of performance from Blaugrana players. Messi was missing because the player has an injury and can return to the squad before the match against Inter Milan.

Luis Suarez scored a goal after Stegen’s assist. German goalkeeper became the first player for Barcelona in the 21st century giving assist. In the second half, Firpo Junior scored another screamer and Barcelona secured easy away win. Barcelona is now in the fourth position with 13 points, and now it seems that the club is entirely focused on the La Liga marathon. There is only a two-point gap between Barcelona and Primera leaders.

Boring derby in Madrid

It was a genuinely boring match at Wanda Metropolitano. We saw that Real Madrid and Atletico were ready to sign goalless draw from the first minutes. Atletico could shoot only once on target as Real Madrid’s defense was reliable. After seven-round, Atletico is in the third position, while Los Blancos is the leader of La Liga.

Can we see Leicester’s story in the Primera Division?

As you know, Leicester was the newcomer in Premier League back in 2015 when the team could win PL Trophy. Granada could be another “Leicester” lookalike as they are in perfect form. Granada just returned from Primera Division B, and in seven matches, the club has 14 points.

As of now, Granada is in the second position and already won a match against Barcelona at home. Granada has scored more goals than Real Madrid and conceded only six. It would be magical if Granada could keep up with the championship marathon till the end.
