Bayern Munich head coach Hans Flick made a comment after Barcelona’s defeat in the quarterfinals of the Champions League (8: 2). According to the German specialist, now his team should focus on the next match because it will start from zero.

Hans-Dieter Flick (Bayern coach): “We knew that if we put pressure on them, we would get a chance. Bayern Munich have such quality and intensity in this team. Now we need to focus on the next match. The semi-final game we start again from zero.

Mueller deserved the prize for the best player of the match. “He was one of the players who controlled our pressing. But in the end, I have to praise my team as a whole to keep that intensity going for 90 minutes.”

Recall that Bayern Munich became the first team in the Champions League’s history to score eight goals in the playoffs. Barcelona conceded eight goals in the game for the first time since 1946. The “Recordmeister” will face the winner of today’s ¼  final clash, Manchester City, or Lyon in the semifinal.

The 152-goal record was broken – Bayern’s new achievement!

After the 8: 2 victory against Barcelona, Bayern Munich set a new record in the club’s history with the number of goals scored.

155 balls – 100 in the Bundesliga, 39 in the Champions League, and the remaining 16 goals in various cup competitions.

The previous record of the “Recordmeister” included 152 goals, which were scored in the 1972-1973 season. Given that the season of the “reds” continues, the record may grow even more.
